Lara s shag challenge
When his band is offered a lucrative tour of the US, the distance growing between him and Lara isn’t only measured in miles. As their baby falls seriously ill, Lara finds herself wondering if Alex really cares for them at all.Towards the end I did think that having even a couple of chapters in Alex’s POV would’ve been great for the overall development of the story because having everything told from Lara’s side – especially the arguments – made things a bit one-sided.There were also some jumping between the past and present, and some of them just felt out of place. Each movement requires an effort I’m not sure I possess.” The hero Alex is her rock, and though the complete opposite of her in personality, he keeps her grounded.A rockstar on the rise, he’s carefree and wild, but always sees his home with Lara and their son Max.The story is told entirely from the heroine’s POV, and at the start of the book, she’s a new mom to a beautiful baby boy and happily married to the love of her life. And even though she expected there’d be changes to her life, she never imagined how tough it would be to juggle being a wife and being a mother. It’s as if I’m walking around in a constant haze; everything seems slowed down, deeper, heavier.
I’ve never been in Lara’s shoes but it was easy for me to relate and sympathize for her, a testament to the author’s writing.
But sometimes, love isn’t enough, and what started as normal, expected arguments between any regular couple soon turns into heated fights, both hurtfully lashing out at one another until Lara crumbles and Alex is helpless as he sees his family falling apart.
